Vocal Mix, Comping & Tuning

Your Voice, Our Expertise

Vocal comping is the process of selecting and combining the best segments from multiple vocal takes to create a cohesive and polished vocal performance. It allows for the elimination of mistakes, inconsistencies, and the creation of a "perfect" take.

Vocal tuning involves the correction of pitch and timing issues in recorded vocals. This process, typically achieved using software like Auto-Tune or Melodyne, ensures that the vocals are in key and rhythmically aligned with the music.

FAQ’s

  • After you've placed an order for our Vocal Mix, Comping & Tuning service, here’s the step-by-step process you can expect:

    1. File Preparation: You will need to create a zip folder containing all your vocal stems, comprising 8 lead vocal takes, 3 sets of harmonies, each with 4 takes per harmony, 2 adlibs, and importantly, the backing music for us to mix the vocals to. Straightforward instructions on how to do this will be included in our follow-up email to simplify the process for you.

    2. File Upload: Upload your zip file to the link we provide in the email. This is a secure and efficient way to ensure we receive all necessary files for your project.

    3. Providing References: In the same email, you can inform us about any reference tracks or specific sounds you're aiming to achieve with your project. This helps us tailor the final output to your vision.

    4. Process Commencement: Once we have received all files and necessary information, we will start the Vocal Mix, Comping & Tuning process.

    5. Turnaround Time: We aim to deliver your fully mixed vocals within 3-5 working days from the date of your purchase. Should you need a quicker turnaround, please reach out to us directly at info@rivalmusic.co.uk.

    6. Review and Feedback: After the first mix is completed, we will send it to you for review. You can provide feedback and request any changes you deem necessary.

    7. Revisions: If changes are requested, we swiftly conduct these revisions and resend the project for another review.

    8. Final Delivery: Once you are satisfied, we will deliver a ZIP file containing the final mix of your vocals. This ensures you receive exactly what you were looking for.

This process ensures a collaborative effort between us and our clients, aiming for the highest satisfaction and a final product that meets your expectations.

  • When submitting your files, please ensure they are provided as individual tracks, all compressed into a single zip folder. It is crucial for each track to be clearly labeled and for all tracks to start and end at the same point to guarantee synchronisation. We recommend submitting your tracks with a minimum of 24-bit resolution and a 44.1 kHz sample rate for the best possible outcome for your project.
